This annual festival will be held on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016, beginning at 11 a.m. The event will feature some of the best BBQ in the Bay Area, giving local BBQ fans a real treat this October. There will also be top brews from 15 local breweries, as well as music from several local bands and even a cornhole tournament. On top of that, guests will be able to see 45 BBQ teams go head-to-head in a high-stakes competition.
According to the event’s website, “Over 40 competition BBQ teams will grill and sauce their meat onsite while attendees get a chance to taste this competition barbecue like they’ve never done before. Over 40 certified judges will be rating the competition meat consisting of chicken, ribs, pork and brisket. The barbeque will be evaluated in three different criteria: presentation, texture, and taste.”
