?From vampires and werewolves to ghosts and goblins, a variety of creepy creatures will be gathering at the San Francisco Zoo & Gardens during their annual “Boo at the Zoo” Halloween bash.

Taking place from Oct. 28-29 during regular zoo hours, this family-friendly event is the place to be for safe, festive fun in the San Francisco Bay Area. In fact, boys and ghouls of every age are sure to love the activities planned for the weekend.

For the kiddos, there will be several tricks and treats to enjoy, including, most importantly, trick-or-treating! They can also take a stroll through the Haunted Nature Trail, explore the Insect Zoo, watch the animals snack on pumpkins, and munch on delicious treats during the Pumpkin Stomp & Chomp.

On top of those scary good activities, the whole family is sure to get a kick out of Harvest Hallow, a 5,000-square foot maze constructed from 600 bales of hay. In addition to being the largest hay maze in the city, it makes for a great backdrop for your next family photo.

For the 21 and over crowd, the Zoo Brew Haus at The Depot Grill is still open for business as part of the “ZOOtoberFest” celebration. Here, you’ll find a great selection of specialty beers, as well as German-inspired dishes like sauerkraut and bratwurst. Prost!

Entry to “Boo at the Zoo” is included with general admission, which is $20 for adults and $14 for children. Attendees are encouraged to come dressed up in their costumes—just be sure to leave the masks at home!
