San Francisco's Goat Festival is Back April 16

Bring out your inner kid at the Bay Area’s 8th Annual Goat Festival! A fun and unique event for families around San Francisco, the Goat Festival is a great opportunity to meet these adorable little friends, as well as local ranchers and food crafters.

According to festival organizers in a recent interview with the website, SF Station, “For eight years, Goat Festival has been part of CUESA’s wide variety of educational offerings at the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market...People of all ages are naturally curious about goats. This popular festival is a way to connect urban dwellers with local dairy farmers and producers, while they’re discovering the wonders of goats and meeting them up close.”

Held this year at the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market, the Goat Festival will include a petting stable filled with baby goats from the local Toluma Farms, a goat cheese tasting and even a market-to-table demonstration.

The festival is being put on by CUESA (Center for Urban Education about Sustainable Agriculture) and they will be holding a CUESA Classroom for attendees to join that will include local ranchers and experts talking about humane animal care.

We are very excited to see the Goat Festival return to the San Francisco area. To find out more about the festival and how you and your family can attend, visit the event website here!
