If you've recently purchased or leased a new 2016 C-MAX Energi in California, you're in luck! Ford recently announced that they are offering three years of complimentary 240-volt charging to C-MAX owners with a valid California driver's license. The generous offering is a part of the company's new EV 1-2-3 program, which helps C-MAX Energi owners get the most of out their vehicle.
Owners purchasing or leasing a C-MAX Energi between Oct. 1, 2015 and Oct. 1, 2016 are eligible for Ford's new EV 1-2-3 program. As a part of the initiative, California Energi owners can take advantage of unlimited charges at participating NRG EVgo and SemaConnect stations across the U.S.; however, each charge cannot exceed four hours. With an estimating charging time of 2.5 hours at 240-volt charging stations, this small catch should not be a problem for most C-MAX Energi owners.
In an effort to make it easier for C-MAX owners to find participating NRG EVgo stations, Ford has also updated their MyFord Mobile app to identify stations using a pink icon. You can download the app for Android or iPhone today to access this feature and many more.
Individuals who purchase or lease a C-MAX Energi during the aforementioned time frame, will receive a packet in the mail regarding the EV 1-2-3 program. Participants will also receive a gas card, which they will have to activate in order to take advantage of the complimentary charging.
