Traveling by car can sometimes be a hassle, but what if you had the chance to tour the country in a motor coach with the luxuries of a private jet? We bet you'd be quick to reconsider your thoughts on traveling, and Ford thinks so too. The company recently teamed up with Galpin Auto Sports to produce a one-of-a-kind luxury van, based off of the 2015 Ford Transit, and the result was the Ford Transit Skyliner Concept. Configured to appeal to the limousine market, the van features an array of high-end amenities passengers can take advantage of, which are controlled exclusively through a smartphone app, taking in-car technology to a whole new level.

Outfitted with leather seating, LED mood lighting, an entertainment system and media server, the Ford Transit Skyliner Concept is lavish in every way. It features its very own built-in bar and has four different experience modes available for passengers to make use of during their travels. In business mode, a table unfolds and the seats reposition around it for easy communication, while theater mode repositions the seats to face a 52-inch movie screen. Travel mode allows passengers to recline the seats and utilize footsteps for additional comfort and reception mode opens the van's sliding door four feet wide for entertaining while tailgating.

"Transit Skyliner is the ultimate expression of a custom Transit," said Tim Stoehr, Ford manager for commercial truck marketing. "We created the vehicle to highlight the potential of the Ford Transit platform for the limousine market and to showcase Transit as the next generation of modern, cool, fuel-efficient vans."

Unfortunately, the Ford Transit Skyliner Concept is not available for purchase, but it could go into production in the near future. If you are interested in buying a Ford van, the 2014 Transit Connect is available now at Serramonte Ford.
