In the rally racing world, Ken Block is an icon, so when he took to the course at last weekend's 100 Acre Wood event, fans new they were in for a treat. Block, alongside his longtime co-driver Alex Gelsomino, wasted no time dominating the course in his Ford Fiesta, letting everyone know he was in it to win it, and gained a quick lead early on in the race. The lead ultimately cemented Block's victory in the competition, and in just an eight-year timespan, he was able to earn his seventh 100 Acre Wood win.

Although Block scored an incredible win and blew away the competition at this year's event, he admitted it came a little easier than he had hoped. This was due in part to his main competitor Subaru Rally Team's David Higgins' quick exit from the competition after he experienced engine failure and was left with no other choice.

"Unfortunately, my top competition fell out on day two and I was able to extend my lead," said Block. "It took some pressure off, which I don't like, because I like to push hard. Instead, I was able to just enjoy these roads and put on a good show for the fans."

Regardless of how the event played out, Block still nabbed a solid win and the competition was an overall success. His next venture will be tackling the Oregon Trail Rally, alongside his Ford Fiesta teammates, which will be held May 2-4.
