On Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014, you're invited to take part in the biggest and best beach party ever! Drawing over 60,000 volunteers across the state, Coastal Cleanup Day (CCD) is the largest volunteer event in California. Join your community in the cleanup and your work will make an immediate positive impact on our local marine environment, plus you'll get to meet other like-minded folks. If you want to help keep our beaches and ocean free of pollution, sign up to volunteer today!

While the event attracts thousands of volunteers, more help is always welcome. Volunteers are needed throughout San Mateo County to help clean beaches, waterways and parks. If you'd like to lend a hand, please click here to find the waiver form and a list of cleanup locations. Waiver forms will be available at all cleanup sites, but you may fill one out in advance and bring it with you to speed up the check-in process. Children and teens under 18 years old must have a waiver filled out by a parent or legal guardian.

On the day of the event, make sure you wear sunscreen and comfortable shoes. You may also bring your own gloves and buckets for trash collecting if you'd like to further reduce your footprint, though supplies will be available at each cleanup location. Most of all, get ready to have lots of fun with your friends and neighbors as the community joins together to make our beaches and city more beautiful!
