New Capabilities, Colors and Models Featured in 2022
The original design of the Ford Bronco that was released in the 1960s originated around wanting to create a vehicle intended for off-road use. It was supposed to compete with the Jeep lineup. After many years of success, the Bronco stopped being made in the late 1990s due to a lack of demand at that time. As the SUV market gained more popularity, Ford brought it back last year.Â
The 2022 Ford Bronco Sport™ SUV, part of the Bronco Family, is ready to help shift your perspective and push boundaries on your terms. An SUV built for the thrill-seeker, the sightseer and the day-tripper. To enable your journey into the outdoors, this rugged build puts utility in the foreground with a purposeful design that includes available easy-to-clean surfaces and a ton of interior space thanks to the roomy architecture of the safari-style roof.
And with standard 4x4 capability, G.O.A.T. Modesâ„¢ (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain) and a HOSS suspension system, Broncoâ„¢ Sport is your gateway to the great outdoors. It comes with a newly available manual transmission with the Sasquatchâ„¢ Package - and there's much more! For 2022, Ford has introduced two new color options along with two Special Edition models.
2022 Ford Bronco Trims
Ford has provided a few different trim levels for the 2022 Bronco. Their Base model is the most affordable and simple, with a two-door exterior style. The higher trim levels (Big Bend, Outer Banks, Badlands) come with four doors, and you can opt for a convertible roof as well. The higher trims also provide more features throughout. Consider the Outer Banks for its affordability and wide range of additional standard features.

2022 Ford Bronco Sport Base ModelÂ
The Base Model comes with either a 1.5L or 2.0L EcoBoost engine. It comes with either a 4x4 or Advanced 4x4 with Twin-Clutch Rear Drive Unit. Bronco Sports come with an 8-Speed Automatic transmissions, 105.1" wheelbase and 190 lb.ft. torque. The maximum seating capacity for the Ford Bronco is 5.Â
