The request for Ford to manufacture a small pickup truck is finally in the works. As drivers have requested a more compact model be released, the automaker has responded and recently released the production data to its investors. The "C-Pick Up" is expected to be released as a 2022 model in the next year and called the Maverick. Ford is currently testing 21 prototypes that it created before the model is available to the public.
The Ford Maverick will be manufactured at the Hermosillo plant owned by Ford in Mexico. This is where the Bronco Sport is manufactured. A few features experts expect the Maverick to have, which include the same powertrain options available in the Bronco. The truck will also likely include just as much horsepower and the same C2 unibody platform. This will allow it to have the same capabilities. Some people even expect the towing capacity to be similar, allowing the car to tow up to 1,550 pounds. Despite its smaller size, the truck will likely have more than enough power to meet drivers' needs.

Recently, a Ford pickup truck was spotted and was camouflaged, but it's believed to be the new Maverick. From what the Ford stan saw, the model will have an angular body with large headlights. It also featured a large grille that will stand out on the exterior. It even looked to have more than enough space for storing different types of equipment and personal items.
The photos that were taken of the camouflaged model showed the Maverick would likely have a crew-cab configuration. In the cabin, drivers can expect two rows of seats to fit four to five people. The model also featured 17-inch Falken Wildpeak all-terrain tires to increase the performance of the truck. These are the same tires found on the Bronco Sport Badlands and will likely be an optional feature.
Experts believe the Maverick will have advanced technology like Ford Co-Pilot360, Apple Carplay, Sync, and Android Auto when it comes to features in the cabin. Front bucket seats may be available for those who want to upgrade to the feature. Plenty of storage compartments will be included in the cabin to ensure there's more than enough room for storing items and keeping them out of sight.
We'll keep you updated on any new details or information released on the Ford Maverick before it's available to purchase.
