Xcel Energy's Electric Vehicle Supply Infrastructure plan explicitly outlines the establishment of 30,000 new chargers by 2030, directly addressing concerns about charging station accessibility. Although many fleet operators intend to charge their electric vehicles at their own stations, the installation cost of these stations is often a deterrent. Consequently, the new plan covers reimbursement for charger installation costs and provides post-installation support for businesses. Presently, this reimbursement is applicable only in Colorado, Minnesota, and Wisconsin, with the potential inclusion of additional states like Texas, South Dakota, North Dakota, New Mexico, and Michigan in the near future.
