Serramonte Ford Community Partner: Fog Fest

CELEBRATING THE VIBRANT LOCAL PACIFICA COMMUNITY

Every year, (except, unfortunately for the COVID Pandemic-stricken 2020,) the Pacific Coast Fog Fest is held to celebrate the City of Pacifica and its robust community, and to provide financial support for many local community groups as. It also funds the "Gift for Pacifica Fund" which provides funding for civic and non-profit projects throughout the community. Currently, there are over 50 organizations, from scout groups, to primary, middle and high schools, to churches to a number of arts and other non-profit groups.

The Pacific Coast Fog Fest was first created in 1986 as a community celebration and to promote the city of Pacifica and to celebrate our marvelous coast. It is held annually during the last full weekend of September, since the weather on those days is historically fantastically sunny and wonderful, which makes the event's name more than a little ironic. The Pacific Coast Fog Fest is produced by the FFOG, "Fog Fest Organization Group," and 100% volunteer-run. All proceeds raised by the FFOG are donated back to the community groups who participate. Fog Fest begins on Saturday morning with the Discover Pacifica Parade, which features the Marching Band Competition. After that, attendees can shop at and enjoy Arts and Crafts booths and Food and Beverage booths while being provided free Music & Entertainment throughout the event.

Sponsorship contributions, such as the ones provided by Serramonte Ford, have contributed substantially to the success of Fog Fest. It has blossomed over the years to an event that draws thousands of visitors from across the Bay Area and beyond. Participation in this yearly event provides a dual benefit for Serramonte Ford. First, we are able to give back to the community, leveraging FFOG to help distribute funds across the community organizations with the most need.

Second, this event is always an energetic, joyful, family-friendly event that draws huge crowds of happy attendees. Members of the public enjoy being able to come out and see our new vehicles and learn about the latest Ford enhancements face-to-face in the laid-back, welcoming environment that the Pacific Coast Fog Fest always generates.
