Both trims are powered by the 3.5L EcoBoost V6, available in two outputs - 275 horsepower or 310 horsepower. The XL features 16-inch silver steel wheels with black hubcaps, while the XLT rides on 16-inch steel wheels with full silver wheel covers.

Appearance

The Transit's design is distinctive, and the XL and XLT differ in a few styling details. The XLT features a honeycomb mesh grille with chrome surround; the XL's surround is carbon black, creating a different front-end look. Optional running boards are available for both trims. Features

The XL has a medium center console; the XLT has a large one. For maximum driver-assist functionality, the XLT includes Cross-Traffic Alert and Trailer Coverage as standard features, which are not standard on the XL. The XL remains upgradable with optional features.
