Ford Motor Company is working with some of the world's leading utility and electric power companies to test out new technology that would enable two-way communication between plug-in electric vehicles and power grids. If all goes as planned, one day you could receive financial incentives for taking part in a program that would allow the grid to connect to your plug-in.

The new technology that's currently being worked on would enable your utility company to send a message to your car, requesting that it cease charging temporarily in order to reduce stress on the grid during peak hours…
