What's New For the 2019 Ford Explorer?

While the market for midsize crossover SUVs is crowded, the Ford Explorer stands apart from the other options. Since 1991 when it was originally offered for sale, its impressive performance capabilities, advanced features, and undeniable style have made it a top choice for discerning automotive shoppers. Ford has progressively improved the Explorer to maintain its relevance and appeal to consumers over the years. Last year's model received a major update to the exterior design and features. It also introduced several exciting color choices. With so many updates made during the last model year, this year's model is relatively unchanged.

Stunning Trims & Design Features

Many SUV shoppers easily decide that the Explorer is the right model to take home, but you also need to select the right Explorer trim for your needs before you finalize your purchase plans. The base Explorer trim is well-appointed and the next four advanced trims incrementally add onto the SUV's features and design elements. In addition to the base trim, the Explorer is also available in XLT, Limited, Sport, and Platinum trims.

As you examine the base trim's features, you will notice that it has excellent features that improve your driving experience. Some of these features include a USB port, powered and heated side mirrors, a standard audio system with six speakers, cloth seating, manual adjustments for the folding rear seats, auto up-down power windows, speed-sensing power door locks, cruise control and a manual operation single-zone climate control system.

When you compare the base trim features to the top-of-the-line Platinum trim features, you will see that the Platinum takes your experience to a new level. Some of the features that may be in your 2019 Ford Explorer Platinum include LED fog lamps and taillights, automatic LED headlamps, power-adjustable driver's pedals with memory functions, a rear spoiler, parking assistance, SiriusXM radio with an upgraded audio system, a rearview monitor, a moonroof, illumination with remote keyless entry, adaptive cruise control, a push-button ignition with intelligent access, mounted controls on the steering wheel, a heated and leather-wrapped steering wheel, power-adjustable folding rear seats, leather interior with heated and power-adjustable front seats and more.
