What's New For the 2020 Ford Edge?
Debuting at a time when crossovers were becoming increasingly popular, the Ford Edge has enjoyed two production cycles. For the 2020 model year, this midsize crossover SUV's only change is the promotion of dual-zone automatic control as a standard feature.

Which Features are Available for 2020?
The 2020 Ford Edge is split into SE, SEL, Titanium, and ST trims. With seating for up to five, the Edge provides cloth upholstery, 10-way power adjustability on the driver's seat, and a 60/40 split-folding design on the rear bench-style seat for the option to expand cargo space into the cabin as standard. Upper-level improvements include front-seat and steering-wheel heating, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, partial-leather or leather seat trim, 6- or 8-way power on the front passenger seat, and driver-side memory.
In addition to the previously mentioned dual-zone automatic climate control, the Edge has standard comfort and convenience features such as cruise control, a smart key system with push-button engine start, hands-free wireless connectivity for hands-free phone operation and audio streaming, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, six-speaker audio with AM/FM radio, a SiriusXM Radio trial subscription, two USB ports and an audio jack, and SYNC 3 infotainment integration. Upgrading in trim increases your chances of getting features such as dual driver-configurable 4.2-inch LCD cluster displays, remote engine start, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, wireless charging ability, voice-activated touchscreen navigation, trial subscriptions to SiriusXM Traffic and SiriusXM Travel Link, and a nine-speaker premium stereo system.
Great Power and Fuel Economy
Ford provides a twin-scroll turbocharged 2.0-liter EcoBoost inline 4-cylinder (I4) engine with 250 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque on the SE, SEL, and Titanium trims. Only the ST trim has a 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6, which delivers 335 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque. Regardless of engine, the Ford Edge has auto-start technology for the engine to automatically shut down when at a complete stop to avoid unnecessary fuel burning; it starts back up when the brake pedal is released. Both I4 and V6 engines are linked to an 8-speed automatic transmission, which comes with a shifter to simulate a more exciting gear-shifting feel. While all-wheel drive is standard on the ST trim-along with aluminum brake and accelerator pedal covers-the other three trims can be configured as front-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive vehicles.
2020 Ford Edge Safety Features
In the event of a crash, the 2020 Ford Edge provides protection with a driver's knee airbag, two frontal impact airbags, two front seat-mounted side curtain airbags, and two roof-mounted side curtain airbags. Driver-assistance tech consists of lane keep assist, post-collision braking, and a blind spot information system with cross-traffic alert. Other standard features include a rearview camera with a reverse sensing system, a safety belt reminder for both front seats, an SOS post-crash alert system, electronic stability control with roll stability control and curve control, traction control, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, torque vectoring control, hill start assist, LED daytime running lights, and a theft-deterrent system. A perimeter alarm and a keyless entry keypad are optional.
