What's New For the 2021 Ford Bronco?
Once produced as a compact SUV, then a much larger, full-size SUV from the mid-1960s to the mid-90s, the Ford Bronco is back. This time, as a midsize SUV. The 2021 model year marks the beginning of this nameplate's sixth generation of production, after an absence of over two decades.

2021 Bronco Trims & Features
The 2021 Ford Bronco is split into seven trims: a base model, Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, Badlands, Wildtrak, and First Edition. It is designed as a five-seater with two rows of cloth seats and available with removable two doors or four doors. The Bronco has standard four-wheel drive with a five-mode terrain management system for handling any type of driving surface and weather conditions, and two front tow hooks and a rear tow hook are present for recovery when needed. The SYNC 4 infotainment system integrates features such as Bluetooth, an AM/FM stereo system, and smartphone integration with an 8-inch touchscreen.
The Big Bend welcomes upgrades such as a leather-wrapped steering wheel, front-seat heating, LED fog lamps, and remote start. Marine-grade vinyl seats and rock rails appear on the Black Diamond. The Outer Banks trim level introduces enhancements such as LED headlights and taillights and a sixth driving mode on the terrain management system. The Badlands-with its specially-tuned High-Performance Off-Road Stability Suspension system, Bilstein position-sensitive monotube shocks, and a seven-mode terrain management system-is positioned as the extreme off-road model. High-speed off-roading is the Wildtrak's forte-with its huge, 35-inch wheels and tires and the introduction of a huge V6. The top-level First Edition combines convenience and off-road capability, thanks to its unique leather-trimmed seats and driver-side 10-way power adjustability.
2021 Ford Bronco Horsepower
The standard engine on the 2021 Ford Bronco is a 2.3-liter EcoBoost inline 4-cylinder engine that makes 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. A larger and more powerful 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6-which puts out 325 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque-is available on all trims but the Wildtrak and First Edition, which have it as their standard engine. A 7-speed manual transmission is usually pinned to the 2.3-liter 4-cylinder, with the exception of the Outer Banks. The V6 goes with a 10-speed automatic transmission for a smoother and more convenient operation.
2021 Bronco Safety
The 2021 Bronco includes the Ford Co-Pilot360 suite of driver-assistance technologies, which includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane keeping assist, pre-collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. Other standard safety features include a rearview camera, an SOS post-crash alert system, torque vectoring control, electronic stability control with roll stability control, and a theft-deterrent system.
