What's New For the 2021 Ford EcoSport?

For 2021, the Ford EcoSport's exterior stylings receive a minor makeover with upgrades to the SE Appearance package and the addition of two new paint colors: luxe yellow and blue. A six-way power driver's seat is now offered as a standard feature on the SES and Titanium.

2021 EcoSport Trims & Features

There are four trim levels available for the 2021 Ford EcoSport. This includes the S, SE, Titanium and SES. A step up from the base trim is the SE. On this trim level, it provides excellent features at an affordable price point. The SE offers heated front seats, a power-controlled driver's seat and automatic climate control. You also get to enjoy Ford's SYNC 3 infotainment system that includes an 8-inch touchscreen as a standard feature. There is also a power moonroof that provides beautiful scenery. Moving up in trim level to the Titanium introduces an auto-dimming rearview mirror, additional trial subscriptions to SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link, and a voice-activated navigation system. Additionally, the Titanium is the only EcoSport trim with a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system. At top-level trim, the SES includes additional features atop the SE's features with a seven-speaker system and enhancing performance features, namely sport-tuned suspension and all-wheel drive.

2021 Ford EcoSport Horsepower

Expect an efficient amount of power from both the 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine, as well as the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. Both engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. When equipped with the 2.0-liter engine, the Ford EcoSport offers a towing capacity of up to 2,000 pounds. The turbocharged 1.0-liter engine provides a towing capacity of about 1,400 pounds.

Ford EcoSport Safety

The outgoing version of the 2020 EcoSport from Ford received a four-star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The key safety features that are part of the 2021 model are the same, so you can expect the same rating this year. You get safety features such as automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alerts, rear parking sensors and adaptive cruise control.
