2022 Ford Bronco Exterior

What's New for the 2022 Ford Bronco?

The original design of the Ford Bronco that was released in the 1960s originated around wanting to create a vehicle intended for off-road use. It was supposed to compete with the Jeep lineup. After many years of success, the Bronco stopped being made in the late 1990s due to a lack of demand at that time. As the SUV market gained more popularity, Ford brought it back last year. It was a successful model year, and no changes are being made to the 2022 version.

2022 Ford Bronco Trims & Features

Ford has provided a few different trim levels for the 2022 Bronco. Their Base model is the most affordable and simple, with a two-door exterior style. The higher trim levels (Big Bend, Outer Banks, Badlands) come with four doors, and you can opt for a convertible roof as well. The higher trims also provide more features throughout. We like the Outer Banks for its affordability while still providing a good deal of standard features.

2022 Ford Bronco Horsepower

The base engine included under the hood of the Bronco for 2022 is a 2.3-liter, four-cylinder variety that can get to 300 horsepower. A ten-speed automatic transmission is the standard inclusion. Ford is offering the option for a seven-speed manual for drivers that are happy with the 2.3-liter engine.

2022 Ford Bronco Safety

Ford kept the safety package simple in the 2022 Bronco, with the ability for drivers to upgrade their vehicle as they see fit. Standard inclusions that are featured are high-beam headlights, cruise control, four-wheel antilock brakes, and plenty of airbags throughout the vehicle. Optional upgrades include lane-departure warning technology with lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring technology, front-impact warnings, automatic emergency braking, and much more.
