2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E Exterior

What's New for the 2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E?

When the Ford Mach-E made its debut last year, it caused quite a splash as it combined the iconic spirit of the Mustang sports car with the practicality of a compact crossover SUV. Only in its second model year, this all-electric vehicle gets only minor cosmetic improvements for 2022, including an ice white appearance, standard black roof on the GT trim, standard heated front seats and steering wheel and all-wheel drive on the California Route 1 model, and an available BlueCruise hands-free driving system.

2022 Mach-E Trims and Features

The 2022 Mustang Mach-E comes in four trims, the base Select, Premium, GT, and the top-of-the-line California Route 1. The base Select comes with a long list of amenities, including dual-zone climate control, synthetic leather seating and a power drier's seat, wireless charging pads, and USB ports in both rows, along with three driving modes. Move up to the Premium for larger wheels, a panoramic fixed glass roof, and a premium audio system. The sporty GT has a unique front end and is available only in all-wheel drive. The California Route 1 comes with a bigger battery to extend the vehicle's range, BluCruis, and Active Park Assist 2.0.

2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E Horsepower

Sure, the Mach-E is an electric vehicle, but it still comes with the power you expect from a Mustang. Four different electric engines are available, starting with the 68 kWh lithium-ion battery pack producing 266 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque in rear-wheel drive and 428 lb-ft of torque all-wheel drive. The most powerful engine is the 88 kWh lithium-ion battery pack with 480 hp and 600 lb-ft of torque or 634 lb-ft in the GT Performance Edition.

Mustang Mach-E Safety

Every Mustang Mach-E comes with Ford CoPilot 360, the manufacturer's comprehensive suite of driver-assistance safety features, including automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring, a lane-keeping system, and more. The Mach-E is also a winner of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's (IIHS) Top Safety Pick award by receiving good ratings in all six of the organization's crashworthiness tests. It also earned the rating because of its LED projector headlights on the Premium and TG trims.
